Mission Statement:

The Association’s mission is to help promote public health, safety, and welfare, and to lobby state and local governments for the passage of legislation relative to cross connection control and backflow prevention issues. This is accomplished through cross connection control and backflow prevention education, interaction, and awareness initiatives. These initiatives shall help promote: availability of qualified Backflow Prevention Technicians; an informed public and access to technical support.

Goals:

Educate our members, our state and local governments, and the public at large on issues related to cross connection control and backflow prevention.

Increase public awareness of the hazards associated with cross connections and backflow

Promote a spirit of cooperation between water consumers and suppliers for the resolution of cross connection control issues

Assist Backflow prevention Technicians in obtaining continuing education training required for recertification
